New Years

I know this post may be a little late, but I was enjoying my family today. I ate a traditional southern meal of black eyed peas and some greens. I played on my computer today and watched my twitter stream fly in with all different types of foods people ate on New Years. Sauerkraut and pork chops had to be the one that I have never seen or heard about.

Last night, we rang in the New Year playing the Wii. We drank our non-alcoholic fizzy grape juice in cute cups, and had 6 kids running around the house. It was great! I always love having kids party’s on New Year’s eve. Maybe when my kids get older, the hubby and I can sit around with a nice bottle of wine, puffing on some black and mild cigars, and chattering away. I was kidding about the cigars!

Oo0.. That so reminds me of the new law that goes into effect today. It is illegal in our state to smoke in public restaurants. We are the 29th state to do so.

Alot of controversy is spilling into the news. How can a state that was born and raised on the tobacco industry ban the usage of it? Is it fair to me as a non smoker who used to smoke go out and have to smell smoke when I eat. How is it fair to have smoke around my child when he or she is not old enough to know any different.

If you can not smoke in bars and after you eat, will you sit there and order more drinks? Isn’t the restaurants going to loose more money?

Yea controversy.

Anyway, Have  a great New years.
