Job Hunting

Job hunting is a longer process compared to when the economy was stable. I have been job hunting for almost a year. I have been to several interviews. The competition is fierce!

I have been reading books and checking out sites that have information on career advancement, resumes, career advice, and follow up on interviews.

One of the hardest things for people to understand is almost every time you  send your resume off, change it. I have reworded my resume over 50 times. It is all the same information just presented in a fresh way.

Make sure during the interview don’t wear glasses on your head, keep your cell phone off, don’t twirl with your hair, and pay attention to the person talking to you. You should go in the interview with knowledge and background about the company. Be prepared at all angles!

If you need someone one on one to help you with all this or even thinking about a career change and need advice, you can check the website out that I have linked.

They have free online tools, expert advice people waiting to help you, and they will find you a job! They also have access to a database of jobs in your area and recruiters who don’t list opportunities.
